The Swedish Fire Festival–one of Barren Ridges' most popular events–is back and better than ever in 2016!

As you enter the tasting room, you’ll be greeted with a glass of wine to pair with Raclette cheese. A buffet dinner will be served in the Audrey Blackford Room (table reservations are available for parties of 8 or more.) Chef Michael Lund is treating us to a Scandinavian inspired menu!

After dinner, join us on our newly-enclosed patio to listen to our Swiss Alpenhorn under the stars, with an enchanting view of the Swedish fires lighting up the night. Entertainment also provided by a Nordic Dance Troup and International Fiddle star Paul Carlson.  We’ll have the fireplace roaring, the propane heaters cranked up, and mulled wine to help you stay warm!

This extraordinary event offers a taste of Sweden, Switzerland, and the Shenandoah Valley all in one, and is the perfect antidote to the dreary depths of winter.
