Creating Food with Panache is all in a Day’s Work for the New Director of Food and Beverage.

Staunton, VA –the newly renovated Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Staunton has announced the arrival of their new Director of Food and Beverage, Chris Signore.

Chris, an experienced executive chef is a master at creating everything from intimate dinners-for-two to elaborate seven course meals for groups of 300 or more. His career has taken him everywhere from posh country clubs to the Mobil Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.

Whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner or hors d’oevres, Chris brings a creative flare to the culinary delights at the Stonewall Jackson. Chris has invented delicious and exciting new menus for a wide range of clientele; from a new children’s menu fun and festive holiday and seasonal menus.

Chris’s primary responsibility will include providing leadership and guidance to the culinary team and the banquet and restaurant teams.  His high level of customer service coupled with his extensive back ground in hospitality, will be a great asset to the food and beverage operations.

Guests love to see something alight and they enjoy watching the creative process as their meal comes together. To top it off he serves it `a la mode in a tall martini glass. ‘It’s delicious”, praises Jennifer Pybus, a recent guest and client from New York City. “Action Stations are a popular way to showcase food to their best advantage”, states Chris.

The property now hosts many functions with an option for not just carving and pasta stations but also Dim Sum stations and mashed potato martini stations where guests can add any number of bountiful toppings to their choice of mashed potatoes.

The Stonewall Jackson opened just 18 months ago and already there is a buzz, not just for their fine appointments, but now for their menu fare. The property, a Historic Hotel of America experienced a $24 million renovation and offers a charming oasis in revitalized downtown Staunton.
